XR Brain Jam 2019 - Games For Change

We created Human VS Mosquitos as an entertaining way to create awareness about a serious topic. Every 2 minutes a child dies from an infected mosquito bite. More money goes into researching hair loss than malaria — International attention and funding for executing and researching mosquito prevention is needed.

Thanks to PHD Olivia Goldman’s research on mosquito behavior we created a multiplayer game where one player gets to play as human (from the mosquito patrol prevention) and the other players gets to play as a female mosquito with very clear goals: mate, bite a human and lay eggs.

“Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril. When you are ignorant of the enemy, but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril.” Sun Tzu.
